A collection of 8 crime shows worth binge-watching for the incredible chemistry between the Best Duos in Crime Solving History. Are you like me? Are you fascinated by the way different teams solve cases that seem to be unsolvable? Do you try to solve the case before the main characters begin deducing the real killer? If so, these are some of the shows I've really enjoyed watching, deducing along with, and admiring the on-screen chemistry of! Please let me know if you've watched any of these and enjoyed them as much as I have.

1. Castle

IMDb: 8.1

Seasons: 8

Episodes: 173

Genres: Mystery; Police procedural; Crime; Comedy drama

Synopsis:

When a psychopath commits murders based on novelist Castle's books, Detective Beckett seeks his help to solve the case. He decides to work with her and uses his experiences as research for his novels.

Why I recommend it:

One of the first shows I binge-watched was Castle. I've always liked crime series, but this one took me to a different level! The main characters, the team, the friendships, and the banter between Richard Castle and Kate Beckett are all wonderful in Castle. The chemistry between Beckett and Castle was fantastic, and the authors nailed their character growth. The one thing that I disliked about this episode was how soon it ended! I wish I could have seen Castle-Beckett for a few more years.

2. White Collar

IMDb: 8.2

Seasons: 6

Episodes: 81

Genres: Police procedural; Comedy drama

Synopsis:

Neal, a charming con artist, is finally caught by his nemesis, FBI agent Peter. But he teams up with Peter to assist the Feds in catching other elusive criminals in exchange for his freedom.

Why I recommend it:

The show's mix of procedural crime-solving and character-driven storytelling keeps you engaged and submerged in the story. The show's lead performances were one of its most memorable aspects. Neal Caffrey is a charming and seductive con artist who had a complicated partnership with FBI agent Peter Burke. One of the show's strengths was the chemistry between Neal and Peter, and their dynamic keeps you captivated throughout the series.

3. The Rookie

The Rookie tv show poster

IMDb: 8

Seasons: 5

Episodes: 98

Genres: Police procedural; Crime drama; Action

Synopsis:

Starting over isn't easy, especially for small-town guy John Nolan, who, after a life-altering incident, is pursuing his dream of becoming an LAPD officer. As the force's oldest rookie, he's met with scepticism from some higher-ups who see him as just a walking midlife crisis. If he can't keep up with the young cops and the criminals, he'll be risking lives -- including his own -- but if he can use his life experience, determination and sense of humour to give him an edge, he may just become successful in this new chapter of his life.

Why I recommend it:

The Rookie opens with Nathan Fillion and his experiences as a guy in his 40s going through a midlife crisis and, as a consequence of this, joining the LAPD. It doesn't feel like the other cop shows I've watched. It offers an excellent cast with great chemistry. They're so good at what they do that you forget you're watching a show sometimes; it just hooks you in and leaves you wanting more. I really enjoy how they blend comedy and drama so well that when a comical or serious part comes up, it doesn't feel out of place. As this is an ongoing show, there may be many seasons to watch!

4. Person of Interest

IMDb: 8.5

Seasons: 5

Episodes: 103

Genres: Crime drama; Action; Science fiction

Synopsis:

An ex-CIA agent and a mysterious billionaire prevent violent crimes with the help of an all-seeing machine that can predict events before they happen.

Why I recommend it:

A criminally underrated show that seems like a typical crime drama on the surface. But that's just a front for what's really a well-crafted, thought-provoking action sci-fi thriller about AI vs. humanity, the concept of free will, the ethics of government spying, and so on. The showrunners do an excellent job of incorporating the early seasons' weekly stories into the larger universal mystery of the show, eventually blossoming into a completely intellectual sci-fi thriller in which one episode directly leads the next. As a result, Person of Interest will appeal to both casual viewers and those seeking something deeper. Harold Finch and John Reese's teamwork is extraordinary, as is Harold's relationship with the machine.

5. Sherlock

IMDb: 9.1

Seasons: 4

Episodes: 13

Genres: Crime; Mystery; Comedy drama

Synopsis:

Dr Watson, a former army doctor, finds himself sharing a flat with Sherlock Holmes, an eccentric individual with a knack for solving

Why I recommend it:

You will love Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock, and no one else could have played this character more perfectly or spectacularly (except Robert Downey Jr).

Martin Freeman's performance as the story's second most essential character, Dr. John Watson, was fantastic and he perfectly justified Sherlock and John's relationship, connection, and understanding. The partnership between John and Sherlock is truly unique. Throughout the performance, you can see how essential they are to one another and how they are their best selves when they are together.

6. Bones

IMDb: 7.8

Seasons: 12

Episodes: 246

Genres: Police procedural; Comedy drama

Synopsis:

Forensic anthropologist Dr Temperance 'Bones' Brennan and FBI Agent Seeley Booth form an unlikely alliance to solve cases by examining the remains of victims.

Why I recommend it:

Bones' focus on Forensic anthropology enticed me to watch this show, as did the incredible connection between Booth and Bones. The constant banter between them is both humorous and entertaining. Booth and Bones are like two sides of the same coin, and I enjoyed their conversations on their way to and from the crime scenes. Booth's protectiveness over Brennan, combined with Brennan's respect for him, improves the show immensely. You will fall in love with all of the flawlessly paired characters. I watched this show for its characters rather than the cases.

7. The Mentalist

The Mentalist tv show poster

IMDb: 8.2

Seasons: 7

Episodes: 151

Genres: Crime drama; Mystery thriller; Police procedural

Synopsis:

Patrick Jane, an independent consultant, works with the California Bureau of Investigation and uses his sharp skills of observation to help solve crimes.

Why I recommend it:

The Mentalist has received a lot of praise. His sharp observation at every crime scene and during the investigation is amazing. With his incredible magical skills and his method of dealing with people, he truly wins the audience's hearts with his exceptional acting. It goes without saying that Teresa Lisbon is the most true and loyal agent she has played from start to finish, and she is always by Jane's side no matter what. Each episode has a significant purpose that relates to what happens in everyday situations.

After abandoning his throne and retiring to Los Angeles, Lucifer indulges in his favourite things (women, wine and song) -- until a murder takes place outside of his upscale nightclub. For the first time in billions of years, the murder awakens something unfamiliar in Lucifer's soul that is eerily similar to compassion and sympathy. Lucifer is faced with another surprise when he meets an intriguing homicide detective named Chloe, who appears to possess an inherent goodness -- unlike the worst of humanity, to which he is accustomed. Suddenly, Lucifer starts to wonder if there is hope for his soul.

Why I recommend it:

The captivating series Lucifer, which combines elements of fantasy, crime, and drama, has undoubtedly created an unforgettable impression on the world of television. The TV series has won the hearts of millions, thanks to its compelling storyline and brilliant cast, and it is not surprising that it is acclaimed as a true masterpiece. The wonderful performance of Tom Ellis, who masterfully represents Lucifer with unparalleled charisma and depth, is at the heart of its success. The characters' chemistry, interactions, and dynamic makes a rich and engaging viewing experience. The supporting cast, which includes Lauren German as Detective Chloe Decker, adds depth to the story, enhancing the storyline. The differences between Chloe and Lucifer, along with the way they solve the case together, are exciting and fascinating. You'll be rooting for them in no time!
